Dr. Marc Schwartz is a highly experienced and renowned chiropractor who is located in Annapolis, Maryland. Dr. Schwartz was born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland and received his Bachelor's degree in nutrition research from the University of Maryland. He subsequently attended Life College of Chiropractic, where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. In 1993, he became Advanced Certified in Activator Methods, and in 1997, he became Board Certified in Atlas Orthogonal. In addition, Dr. Schwartz received a Doctor of Quantum Neurology in 2011 and maintains membership with the International Society of Police Surgeons.

Atlas Orthogonal

The Atlas Orthogonal technique is a precise and gentle method of adjusting the upper cervical spine to restore proper alignment and balance to the entire body. It is a highly specialized and sophisticated technique that requires advanced training, knowledge, and experience. Dr. Schwartz's approach to the Atlas Orthogonal technique is meticulous and thorough, ensuring that each patient receives the best possible care. The process begins with a detailed consultation and postural examination to understand each individual's unique history and condition. If a postural distortion (a spinal misalignment) is present, specific three-dimensional X-ray films are taken to calculate a precise, customized adjustment that will impact the whole spine. The Atlas Orthogonal adjustment itself is performed to the upper neck, with no cracking or twisting of the neck or spine. Follow-up X-ray films are taken to verify the adjustment's success, and further adjustments may be necessary if proper structural balance is not achieved.
